The school had their annual gala just a little while ago. 'Gala' brings to mind images of dressing up, fine music, and proper grammar. Quite, rather. It turns out that a school gala is actually a mix of a carnival, a craft fair, a farmer's market, food stalls, swap meet, and Black Friday. It was far too crowded and actually a bit overwhelming.
We did the really fun (that is, important) stuff first: the carnival rides! Here is Amiri enjoying the Ferris Wheel and both boys having a go on the teacups.

The rest of the gala events must have been pure dulls-ville after those exciting - and I might add - very colorful imaginative rides!
At first I couldn't pick out Amiri on the ferris wheeel - but his little red cap and enthusiastic waving helped me spot him! What a trooper!
The teacup looked more like a bowl of cereal - what a clever marketing tool..
Love you guys!
I think the carnival was awesome. I loved the amazing colors of the rides. Thank you for posting the videos so we can actually share the great moments with the boys. Which ride did Amiri like better? The ferris wheel or the teacups. Knowing his sense of adventure, it was the ferris wheel.
How great to see the boys, love it!!!! Thanks!!!
