I'm sitting out on the balcony with my laptop, just having sent out the fifth job application for my 'tier-one' jobs. The ones that make me all excited to think about them, but would also be kind of a stretch, given my experience. I'll give it a couple weeks to see what comes of these, and then I have fifteen or twenty 'tier-two' options that I'll tackle. Cross your fingers for me.
In the meantime, I'm keeping busy writing a few hours a week, and my biggest client just asked me to take on a big project that has the potential to become bigger. Who knows, if this goes somewhere I may not need to get a 'real' job after all!
One thing we have noticed is that it seems to be standard practice to let people know when they've been eliminated from the running. I really appreciate that; I feel like it's better to know the answer is No than to wonder what happened to your application.

Allie, I sure am cheering for you! If you don't get what you want the first time, there is always a second chance, too. The first time I applied at Carney-Nadeau for a job, I didn't get hired. The second time I applied, I was in very quickly. I will be praying for what is BEST for you, for your family, and your life goals. Perhaps "writing" free lance is your calling. I get the strong feeling that your blog will someday be published, it is that well-written. So, keep up the hopes, and trust in God. Love ya, Mom XXXXOOOO
