Korean pancakes! Yeah!

Just across from the library is this window in the wall, with a guy and a griddle behind it.  There is always a long line, which is what attracted me.  You step up, ask for a filling, and the guy stuffs it inside a wad of dough that he flattens on the hot griddle.

Here are a vege and a cheese.  I wasn't fast enough to get a picture of them intact.  Notice the grease-soaked paper sleeves.  They cost $2-3.  No wonder people line up for these!

Also, we have strawberries.  They're in season again!

Yum! What is the batter made from? Are they fried on a griddle (with little oil) or deep fried?

Looks to be a flour/egg/water batter. They are pan-fried on the big hot griddle. The cook adds oil every so often from a squeeze bottle.

Reminds me of a pupusa, mom!
